The Google Merchant Center streamlines the advertising of your products across Google Shopping, Product Ads, and the Google Commerce Center. Essentially, it is the web-based software that facilitates the listing of your items on Google Shopping and similar platforms. The Google Merchant Center feed also enables you to track the performance of these items in these marketplaces, allowing for adjustments to pricing, presentation, or marketing strategies based on data insights.

Similarly, Bing offers its own marketplace tool, aptly named Bing Merchant Center, which encompasses many of the same functionalities. It empowers users to compile a catalog of their products for display on Bing shopping. Product ads are sourced from the inventory listed and integrated into the Bing shopping feed. Bing, like Google, provides tracking capabilities for all ads with a range of configurable parameters. Recently, Google and Bing have collaborated to enable users to synchronize their Google Merchant Center feed with their Bing shopping feed.

**Why Synchronize Your Feeds?**

In essence, it is a time and cost-saving measure. Synchronizing your feeds eliminates the need for independent updates to each feed. The majority of your offerings and ads on Google can be automatically imported to Bing, with manual configuration available to tailor the sync to your specific requirements.

Moreover, the new sync feature is straightforward to set up. Any approved ad or offer from your Google Merchant Center feed is eligible for automatic synchronization with your Bing feed. To initiate the process, simply access the Microsoft Merchant Center and navigate to the “Import” tab.

**Getting Started**

The synchronization process can be managed predominantly through the Bing shopping feed app, including the replacement of relevant metadata and the setup of notifications. This consolidates all your feed ads from both platforms into a single feed.

From the Microsoft Merchant Center, access the Import tab. Log in to your Google Merchant Center account and select “Create new catalog” from the import options. You can then determine the timing of the import and establish a schedule for subsequent imports.

Upon signing in through your authenticated Google Merchant Center account, you will see a list of accounts. From there, you can select one and import the feed from the Google Merchant Center account.

The Merchant Center allows you to update your metadata using the Find and Replace features. Once done, simply review your summary and save the changes.

If you need to update your schedule, further imports can be managed within the same menu. Ensure to continue monitoring your Google Merchant Center feed, as any issues will be reflected in your Bing shopping feed.
