This compelling and enlightening documentary is now accessible on DVD. However, the filmmakers encountered significant hurdles during the initial phase of its release. This prompted them to collaborate with Coalition Technologies, and we were thrilled to assist these passionate filmmakers in their mission to disseminate the message of happiness across the globe.
The producers of “The Happy Movie” first contacted Coalition in March 2012. They required urgent assistance with their website and e-commerce platform following a disappointing experience with a previous WordPress developer. We listened to their requirements and embarked on the creation of a fresh, entirely new site.
Initially, we advised the client to migrate to the BigCommerce e-commerce platform, which could effortlessly cater to their needs. The client concurred, and we commenced the construction of a new store, featuring custom shipping rates tailored to North American locations. BigCommerce proved to be far more user-friendly than the WordPress e-commerce plugin they had previously employed.
Our endeavors were not without challenges, especially regarding web hosting. The client’s GoDaddy hosting was frequently crashing, and the lack of service response was impeding customers’ ability to make purchases. To address this issue, we offered support and redirected traffic to the e-commerce server, ensuring uninterrupted purchases for customers.
Post-launch, we continued to support the company with ongoing service and marketing initiatives. The filmmakers expressed great satisfaction with our work, and we are delighted to witness the film’s remarkable success.
